Question AC Compressor Bearing replacement

Does anyone have experience in replacing an AC compressor bearing without removing it from the engine? Thanks!

Default Rodeo A/C bearing

I hav'nt done it yet, but I'mfixing to. Research says yes it can be done on the vehicle. Remove radiator shroud, and the bolt, outer clutch disc maybe a little tricky, but several flat screwdrivers behind it and gentle coaxing should pull it from the keyed shaft. 90 degree snap ring pliers will remove the snap ring, holding the pully & bearing. Then using a short puller, remove pulley& bearing. The puller I saw pictured was a slotted flat bar type. Action Air in dallas has the bearing for $14. The problem I'm having is a supplier for the magnetic coil, that I need also.
You can also bypass the a/c compressor by using a shorter belt, which I've done. Just get a belt for your rodeo for a non-a/c. Works great if you need to ride , just wont have any a/c.
Be careful you dont bend the disc when removing it. Gently is the word. Also there are some shims behind the bolt, you need to set the air-gap with, dont lose them or the disc will rub the pulley when re-assembled .
If anyone knows a supplier for the coil for a 98 rodeo with a ZEXEL DKV14D compresor, please reply. Thanks
