Mileage for fuel pump failure/replacement
Hi my son drives my old 1997 Honda Passport on trips thru the Rocky Mtns.
I was thinking that maybe he should pro-actively replace the original fuel pump , the car has 135k miles.
Do these pumps tend to last longer than that or if anyone on hear has had one fail at what mileage did that occur ?
I replaced the timig belt and pulleys at 90k but left the water pump in, I might replace that as well in the near future but a fuel pump failure would likely strand my beloved passport.
thanks for any responses.
