1990 pup 2.6L 4x4 5-speed
My idle sticks high, but if I tap on the gas pedal, it'll bring it back down. Seems worse when it's cold. I checked if it's a problem with the throttle cable, it's not. Had the truck about a year now, it's gotten steadily worse. Tried throttle body cleaner, no luck. My touble codes say Coolant Temp Sensor, and Mass Air Flow Sensor, I've replaced both but the codes are still there.

Cooter85 - I just picked up a set of Isuzu factory workshop manuals. I will take a look in there and see if I come across anything for you.

Cooter85 - Can you give me a little better description of the issue, say from a cold start in the morning?

It's really hard to start in the morning. I mean it takes probably two or three 15 second cranks to get it fired up. The idle problem is also worse when it's cold. I get it started and wait a minute to warm up. When I come back, it's idleing high, and I have to give it a good solid rev to bring it down. Once it's warmed up, it takes less of a tap on the throttle to bring the idle back down. And even if I shut it off, as long as it's still warm, it will remain less of a problem.
Over time the problem got worse. It used to happen every once in a while when I came to a red light or whatever. But now, it's everytime I press the clutch, or have it in neutral.
It seems consistent with the amount of throttle I give it, not with the RPM's. For example, if I where to take off in 2nd gear and give it alot of gas, although the motor is bogging down, as soon as I press the clutch, it will idle really high.
I'm not sure what other info will be useful. I do appreciate your concern.

Once you find the perfect Hermes Replica, you hate to see it go. It starts with a scratch here and there, and then the zipper stops working. Pretty soon, that favorite bag is too embarrassingly shabby to carry.
