Rattle, cant find it
I am new here, but an old time Isuzu owner. I owned an Isuzu I-Mark, and 4x4 pick up. Recently bought a clean, low miles Rodeo LS 3.2l v6.
I replaced the shocks, sway bars, bushings, ball joints, tie-rods, new tires, and had 4 mechanics look at it. Took it to Midas and they did 2 checks on the exhaust system. Some of these parts didnt need replaced, just wanted to make sure it was a safe ride for the family.
But I am still getting a rattle on bumpy roads on and off. Sometimes while sitting idle. I have gotten out, crawled up under and just watched it run, move parts, look around, and still cant find this rattle.
Its a 2002 Rodeo 3.2 L, with 100k miles on it, has trailer hitch, brush guard, and running boards. Everything inside seems secure. But I moved all these with my hands and didnt really hear any rattle/noise.
Im lost, and before I spend any more money, I thought I would ask some owners if they have had this noise and other things it my be other than all those parts I replaced. Yes I did a search, still lost lol.
Do plan on replacing the timing belt, water pump, power steering pump, and outter belt next week. There is a small noise coming from the PSP, but not what I am hearing when I drive.
Thanks in advance

Go to your user cp click on Edit Options scroll down to miscellaneous section click the basic editor box and change it to Standard Editor. That worked for me.

I know this is an old thread, but someone may still find it useful if the OP's of questions would just post what if anything they found.
My wife's 95 has always had a intermittent rattle. I finally discovered where it was coming from by accident. It was the wheel center caps. They are held in place by the lug nuts but not tightly since they are plastic. The little spring washers that are so easily lost or damaged during tire changing are supposed to keep the plastic cap snug without cracking them. Over time, the washers can be lost and damaged to the point that there are not enough of them to hold the caps causing the resulting rattle which you would not find crawling around under the car.
