fog lights

i had just bought fog lights for my 99 rodeo and i noticed there are
harnesses for fog lights and i had bought a relay or fuse for it and i also notice that the panle behind the cruise control that there is a harness that is not connected to anything and i wanna know if that is for the fog lights

Yes that is for the fog light switch. OEM switches can be hard to come by at times though.

I just put a set in the same location. I didn''t want to trust the factory wiring so I ran new wiring with an in line fuse and relay. My auto buddy''s suggestion for potential failure and safe guard, ie frying the relay or blowing the fuse in the event of an electrical incident. I installed a new toggle style switch then after talked to another Rodeo guy who did some searching but after a while found a switch that he said he could slightly alter to fit into the blank cover plate that is next to the cruise control. he apparently had to alter the back as well but it works properly and looks factory original and uses all the wiring that is there.
