Fill ATF in Park or Neutral
#1
I serviced the 2000 Rodeo ATF in Park but I think I have also read a post or two that says neutral. The Chilton Manual says Park.
I would be interested in the forum techs opinions & the reason(s) for it if you are willing to reply.
Also, does anyone know if the fluid has to be drained to change the accumulator piston cover?
TIA,
Pete

I think the cover can be changed without draining, but I'm not positive. I've never done one. I dont even have an automatic. As far as I know checking the level should be done in neutral. I've also heard to manually shift through all the gears, then put in neutral to check. If nobody can give you a difinitive answer on the cover on here sign up on planetisuzoo.com and ask there. I know there are alot of ppl there that have changed the cover.
