Default General question

I wonder if anyone can offer some advice.
I have just bought a 2007 Isuzu rodeos Denver with rear canopy. My thoughts were, that I could just remove the canopy anytime I might have a high load to carry, but looking at the fittings and checking videos on YouTube, it would appear that the canopy, once fitted becomes a permanent fixture.
Has anyone overcome this with quick release clamps? The other issue is that the high brake light is hard wired into the tailgate, so, again this would indicate quick removal is not an option, unless a pin plug system could be fitted.

No reason you cant. I fixed up some quick release clamps for the fiberglass cap on a pick-up years ago.
Install an electrical connector on the brake light.
