Should I Buy this Rodeo??
#1
hey guys..im new here. i need to know a few basic things about a 1997 or 98 rodeo...dont remember which it is.
my mom got a passport, so she offered me the rodeo for $2000. according to the kelly blue book its worth $3200 or so. so ive been considering buying it. its a ls, 126000 miles, but only 2x4. body is good..she bought it in california a few years ago before she moved back, so its not ate up by road salt or anything. and its been well/regularly maintained.
anyway, i was needing some opinions about the rodeos. how long do they generally last before having to replace engine, tranny and other vital components? should i buy it??
and also, since its only 2 wheel drive, i was thinking about lowering it a bit. i was reading (on a different forum) about getting 2-3 inches lower by adjusting torsion bars and turning (?) the spacer blocks. is this true? and if so, how is the ride quality?? i live in west virginia, and the roads are riddled with pot holes. so i need a decent ride with the drop. any suggestions?
thanks, i appreciate any input.
