I have a 2001 Rodeo and I would like to know 2 things:
First, what is the recommended mileage for changing the Drive Belt?
Secondly, how to I loosen the tension pulley to change it?

Most user manual suggest drive belt change every 60,000 miles. It is also advisable to replace the water pump everytime the drive belt is off to save you money in the long run. Try this link for loosening tension pulley http://www.faqs.org/qa/qa-46525.html

Thanks for the reply. As you can see this is a really old posting. Since then I figured out how tochange it. I was embarrassed for putting this posting up once I realized how easy it is to change the belt. It takes less than 5 minutes.
As for the water pump, since changing the belt is so easy, I wouldn''t neccessarily advice changing that. Thanks again for the reply.

The water pump is driven off of the timing belt, not the serpentine belt. Much more work involved. T-belt and water pump replacement is recommended at 100k miles now for 2nd gen rodeo.
