Hey guys, yesterday I was going to the beach in my 89 trooper and everything was working fine. I got to the beach, engaged the 4x4 and started wheelin in some sand trails by the beach. At the end of the day when I was going home I noticed a weird humming noise that came from the rear of the troop when I reached 55mph and it kept on getting worse as my speed increased. what do you guys think is the problem?

if your sure its the rear end,maybe just wheel bearings.hopefully.


if not carrier bearing inside the differential also maybe.if you can jack the rear end up,pull the wheeels off you can usally feel an hear,outer wheel bearings if there bad,an even feel it as your turning the hub by hand.
