Hey Fellow Isuzu Owners,

I am having problems to locate a water leak in my Isuzu Rodeo ''01. The water appears under the driver seat (only) after bigger storms. It got to the point that the rug is soaking wet (it used to be just moist at first).

Whenever this issue appears, I am also experiencing problems with my headlights. Even when the vehicle is turned off and key is out of the ignition, headlights stay on - I have recently ordered new relay for headlights in hopes that it will fix the problem.

If this would not help I am suspecting that the leak is getting into some wiring under the dashboard and this is shorting the circuit.

I appreciate anybodies suggestion.

Thanks,
Blaze

Do you have a sunroof? If so check the rubber seal. I had the same problem.

Thanks for a great tip, but unfortunately my car doesn''t have a sunroof. Yesterday night we had a pretty bad storm, the car was parking in front of the garage and when I got in the morning there was water under the driver''s mat again.

Do you have any other tips that might help me?

Thanks for any suggestion.

You could check the seal around the front part of the door jam, on the side with the hinge. Make sure it is clean and that it has not separated from the door. Water could be running down the gap between the finder and the door and through the seal.

that truck uses a urethane window gasket.... not the typical "silicone setting" of the window.... this is usually the problem.... right down by the firewall in the corner on the drivers side is where i would start....
