I'm thinking of buying a 1988 Trooper with a 2.6. What kind of pulling power can I expect in deep mud with a good set of tires? Also, what's the largest tires I can place on the stock Trooper?

View Full Version : pulling power of 1988 Trooper Jim Bob 01-16-2006, 08:03 AM I'm thinking of buying a 1988 Trooper with a 2.6. Trust me, I have done it with mine. Jim Bob 01-19-2006, 07:13 AM Thanks! I was worried about the 2.6 being weak. lowtrooper 01-20-2006, 01:04 AM What are you planning on pulling? Jim Bob 01-20-2006, 05:00 PM I was mainly concerned with the Trooper pulling it's self out of tight spots. But, I do have a 16 foot trailer loaded with lawn equipment I would lke to pull. I'm guessing 2500-3000#. What do you tnink? lowtrooper 01-24-2006, 10:16 AM yeah thats ok. |
