<DIV class=container-forummessage>My 93 Trooper ls has a snapring that pops off when using 4 wheel drive.(((Left front drive axle))).May pop off at any given time. It is autolocking hubs. This is the snapring that goes on after the locking hub is put in place. Why would this keep coming off? Is there a bushing or is the shock bad causing the independent suspension to flex too far one way or another causing the snapring to come off? This is my first trooper I need some help. Do they have an aftermarket assy. to take place of the snapring? Thanks for any help. http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/12h/www.edmunds.com/media/townhall/webxicons/emotorcons/emo_bawling.gif </DIV>

is it the snapring that holds the axle in place and prevents it from moving out of the hub?

Easy fix. Buy a new one. The old is worn out. Best fix is to but manual hubs on. Much better 4x4ing. Good luck
