My 88 Trooper II has very very loud tappet noise. I pulled the valve cover off and pulled the top assembly off and pulled the cam out but cant find the lifters. I looked at the rocker arms and its gota tail which the cam lobes push up on the rocker to control the valve springs. I first thought was there is no lifters onthe motor but when I called Checker Auto they list both rocker arms and tappets for it so I am confused. Any help wouldbe great!
Thnks

Overhead valve engines usually the rocker rides on the cam and you adjust the clearance there with the engine cold. send a message if you need I have the haynes manual with the step by step. < src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-44";
