The driver's side door is locked and won't open. Tried the key from the outside, and pulling the button from the inside. I assume the linkage is broken inside the door. How do I get the door open so the door panel can be taken off? What linkage is probably broken? If I can find a lockout tool, how do you use one?

i've only had my '94 rodeo a week, but i saw a series of screws at the bottom of the door. you may have to pry the cover from the kick plate to get at them. hope that gets you under the panel

Can I do that without opening the door? I can't even get the door open. I borrowed a slim jim, but I'm not sure how to use it. Anyone out there know how to use a slim jim on a rodeo?

Never used a Slim Jim, but I have opened mine with a bent coat hanger. Not difficult. Just slip the Jim into the door at the latch & gently lift up on the angled connector just below. This pic by someone else gives a pretty good idea of where to lift.
